Find the first AI workflow your business is already ready for.

You don't need more AI content. You need to find the one repeated task in your business and hand it to AI. These 4 prompts help you do that in one Claude session.

Your business doesn't need you to learn more. It needs you to look at what keeps happening on repeat — and hand that to AI.

Why most operators are stuck

Most business owners right now

They know what Claude is. They know what ChatGPT is. They've probably tried something once. Their businesses run exactly the same as they did six months ago.

Business owners who are actually using AI

They didn't start by learning. They started by listening. They noticed the same question coming in from support every week. The same task they did every Monday. They picked one. They handed it off.

You don't need a course. You don't need a certification. You need one repeated task and a prompt that runs it.

These 4 prompts help you find that task and build your first real AI workflow.

  1. Open claude.ai in your browser. (Free account works fine.)
  2. Click "New chat."
  3. Pick Prompt 01 below. Copy it.
  4. Paste it in. Fill in the brackets. Hit enter.
  5. Work through all 4 in order. By the end, you have a real workflow running.

Prompt 01: The Repeat Inventory

Surface what's already happening on repeat

Prompt 01 — The Repeat Inventory

When to use it: right now, before you do anything else. Takes 5 minutes. Works best if you do a brain dump first — don't filter, just list.

Don't edit yourself. List everything, even the stuff that feels too small. The stuff you barely notice is usually what's most worth automating — because you've stopped seeing it.

Here is a list of things that happened in my business this week or tend to happen every week on repeat: [paste your list — just brain dump it, don't edit].

I want you to:
1. Group these into categories (client-facing, internal ops, staff or team, admin).
2. Identify which ones are clearly repeated (happen weekly, monthly, or on a trigger like "new client" or "support question").
3. Flag any that sound like they could be handed to AI with a prompt.
4. Give me back a clean list in priority order — most frequently repeated at the top.

What you'll get: a categorized list of repeated tasks in your business, organized by type (client work, operations, staff, admin) and ranked by frequency. The first clear picture of where your time is actually going.

Prompt 02: The One Pick

Choose where to start

Prompt 02 — The One Pick

When to use it: right after Prompt 01. You're looking for the task that is high-frequency AND low-stakes to delegate. You're not picking the biggest problem in your business. You're picking the one where you can win fast.

Fight the urge to pick the biggest, most important task. That's not what this is for. The goal is your first win — proof this works in your business. Start with the one that is just... annoying.

Based on the list we just made, I want you to pick ONE task for me to hand to AI this week.

Pick the one that meets these criteria:
- Happens often (at least weekly, or every time a specific trigger happens)
- Is low-stakes enough that if the output isn't perfect, I can catch it before it causes a problem
- Has a clear input I can describe (a type of email, a kind of question, a standard situation)
- Would take me longer to do manually than it would take to paste a prompt

Tell me which one you picked, why, and what success looks like when AI is running it.

What you'll get: one clearly named task to start with, the reason it made sense to pick it first, and a clear statement of what success looks like when AI runs it.

Prompt 03: The First Prompt Builder

Build a reusable prompt for that task

Prompt 03 — The First Prompt Builder

When to use it: after you've picked your one task from Prompt 02. This is the part where you go from "I should use AI for this" to actually having something you can run.

Be specific about the output format. The more clearly you describe what good looks like, the more consistently Claude produces it. "Write a response" is weak. "Write a 3-paragraph response in a direct, professional tone that addresses the concern and gives a clear next step" is what gets results.

The task I want to hand to AI is: [paste the task name from Prompt 02].

Here is what that task usually involves:
- The trigger that kicks it off: [describe what causes this task — a new client, an email, a recurring date, a question from staff]
- The input I have available: [describe what information you have when this task needs to happen]
- The output I need: [describe exactly what you need the AI to produce — format, tone, length, what it should include]
- What I do next with the output: [what happens after — do you send it, review it, build on it?]

Write me a reusable prompt for this task. Make it something I can copy, paste into a new Claude chat, fill in the blanks, and run every time this situation comes up. Include a short note about what to adjust if the situation varies.

What you'll get: a reusable prompt you can save, paste, and use every time this task comes up. You'll also get a short description of when to use it and what to adjust for variations.

Prompt 04: The First Real Run

Run it on something real from this week

Prompt 04 — The First Real Run

When to use it: take the prompt from Prompt 03 and run it on an actual example from your business this week. Not a hypothetical. A real one. This is where it either clicks or you learn exactly what to adjust.

Expect to iterate. The first output might be 80% right. That's the win. Read it, note what's off, and tell Claude what to fix: "This is good but the tone is too formal — try again with a more direct, casual tone." Two rounds gets most people to something usable.

[Paste the prompt you built in Prompt 03 here.]

Here is a real example from my business this week:
[Paste the actual input — the email, the question, the situation, whatever is the raw material for this task.]

Run the prompt on this real example and give me the output.

What you'll get: a real output you can actually use, and a clearer picture of how to adjust the prompt for the next time. After one real run, most operators run it again immediately on 3-5 backlogged examples they've been putting off.
