03. Is your heading hierarchy clean? One H1 per page. Logical H2s underneath. No walls of text. AI scans structure like humans do.
04. Does your About page prove credibility? Outcomes. Certifications. Years in operation. Not a personal essay without stakes.
05. Do you use structured data markup? FAQ schema. HowTo schema. Organization schema. Most platforms have plugins. Takes 10 minutes.
06. Is your contact info identical everywhere? Website footer. Google Business. Instagram bio. LinkedIn. Inconsistency kills trust signals.
07. Does your content say where you are and what you do? "We help IV clinic operators in Virginia Beach scale second locations." Specific. Discoverable.
08. Have you updated your Google Business Profile in 30 days? Single fastest signal for local AI search. Takes 10 minutes. Most operators never touch it after setup.

0 to 4 yes: Your business is likely invisible to AI search. The engine does not have enough structured signal to cite you. Most operators score here without knowing it.
5 to 7 yes: You are partially visible. Some signals are strong, some are missing. Fix the gaps below.
8 yes: You are ahead of most operators. Now optimize for what the AI says about you when you are cited.
WHAT TO FIX FIRST
Rewrite your homepage for clarity. Add one genuinely helpful page that answers a real question without gating it behind an email wall.
Structured data and Google Business are mechanical fixes with outsized impact. Low effort, high visibility.
Clean headings. Rewrite your About page with outcomes. These take more time but compound.
A real example
I reviewed an operator's site recently. Their homepage was clear. Their About page read like a family history, not a credibility document. No structured data. Unclaimed Google Business listing.
We rewrote the About page with outcomes and credentials. Added Organization schema through their platform's plugin. Claimed the Google Business listing. Total work: under three hours.
