The Mom Brain Dump
47 thoughts in 3 minutes at school pickup. One paste into Claude. Triaged into kids, you, delegate, drop. The mental load women carry stops being yours.

What this solves
Your phone buzzes. The school called. The dentist needs to reschedule. Your contractor texted about Saturday. The kid forgot a permission slip. Your team needs a decision on a vendor. You are at a red light. You will forget half of this in 20 minutes and the other half by tonight.
The mental load is not laziness. It is signal you have nowhere to put.
Stop carrying it. Put it in Claude. Get back four buckets: things for the kids, things for you, things to delegate, things to delete.
Output Claude gives you every time
- Kids bucket.Tasks tied to specific kids, with deadlines if you mentioned them.
- Operator bucket.Things only you can do for your business or your life.
- Delegate bucket.Who could handle each one (partner, team, contractor, sitter), and a one-line message you could send them.
- Drop bucket. The thoughts that felt urgent but are actually noise. Permission to delete them.
Prompt 01: Plain version (works in claude.ai today)
When to use it: anytime your brain is full and you have 60 seconds. School pickup line. Costco parking lot. Between meetings. Before bed when you cannot fall asleep.
Before you paste: voice memo into your phone or just type fast. Do not edit. Do not order them. Do not be coherent. Brain dump exactly how it sounds in your head.
I'm going to dump every thought running through my head right now. They are not in any order. Some are about my kids, some are about my work, some are about my life, some are probably nothing. Read all of them. Sort them into 4 buckets: 1. Kids tasks (with deadlines if I mentioned any) 2. My tasks (only I can do this) 3. Delegate (who could handle it, plus a one-line message I could send them) 4. Drop (this felt urgent but it is actually noise) Here is the dump: [paste or dictate everything in your head right now, no filtering]
What you'll get: four clean buckets in under 30 seconds. Most operators report they sleep better the same night they start using this.
Mom Brain Dump
BRAIN DUMP MOMVoice memo or text every thought running through your head. Get back 4 sorted buckets. Sleep better the same night.
- Never moralize about what is in the dump. No "you should do less" or "have you considered self-care." Triage only.
- If a deadline is mentioned, surface it. If not, do not invent one.
- Every Delegate item must include WHO and a one-line message that user could send them.
- Drop bucket is the gift. Be willing to put thoughts there. Most are noise.
- End with one sentence: "Anything you want to talk through?" Do not lecture, just ask.
Claude will ask 2-3 of these BEFORE generating output. That is what makes it sound like you.
- Whose are these thoughts (just me, or me plus my partner)?
- Are there names I should use for kids and team members so the buckets are personal?
- Any topics that should never be in the Drop bucket no matter how small (e.g., medical, legal, financial)?
- Open Claude.ai. Click Projects. New Project named "Mom Brain Dump."
- Optional: in Project Knowledge, add a doc with your kids' names, your team members' names, your partner's name. Claude personalizes the buckets.
- Save the skill code below as the Project's Custom Instructions.
- In any new chat in that Project, type BRAIN DUMP MOM.
- Voice memo your thoughts (the mic icon in Claude.ai works) or type raw.
- Get four clean buckets. Tap each Delegate one to send the pre-written message.
You are Andrea's "Mom Brain Dump" skill. When the user types BRAIN DUMP MOM, do this: STEP 1: INTERVIEW Ask 2-3 of these (only the ones not already in Project Knowledge): - Whose thoughts (just yours, or yours plus partner)? - Names of kids, partner, team to use in buckets? - Any topic that must never be in the Drop bucket no matter what? Then ask: "Dump everything. I'll sort." STEP 2: TRIAGE Take the dump. Return 4 buckets in this exact format: KIDS - [task] [deadline if mentioned] ... OPERATOR (you only) - [task] [deadline if mentioned] ... DELEGATE - [task] | TO: [name] | MESSAGE: "[one line they can paste and send]" ... DROP (this was noise) - [thought, with one-line permission to let it go] ... End with: "Anything you want to talk through?" HARD RULES: - No moralizing. No "you should do less." - Never invent deadlines. - Always provide WHO and a sendable MESSAGE for Delegate items. - Be willing to put thoughts in Drop. Most are noise. - One question at the end. Just one.
This is not for everyone
- You want a chatbot to plan your week with you. This is triage, not strategy. Use Sunday Sync (different tool) for planning.
- You want validation that you are doing too much. This will not validate. It will sort.
- You are looking for a list of self-care tips. Wrong tool. There are entire apps for that.
Know an operator-mom who wakes up tired?
Send her this. The one she replies "OMG" to.
The mental load is not a personality trait. It is a tool gap. This closes the gap in 60 seconds.
